Our Weekend

Or weekend was rather relaxing. We didn't do anything big. We just spent time together as a family and enjoyed each other. Friday was a hard day for Jasmyn. While we were outside taking in the sun and nice weather, Jasmyn discovered one of her cats dead. So that night was a little of a bummer. Saturday we went to McCook to do the grocery shopping and pick up our flooring from Samways. Saturday evening we played are you smarter than a fifth grader. and watched a movie. Sunday, after church, we grilled steaks. After that we went to the park in Palisade. I have to apologize in advance for the amount of pictures. It is just too hard to decide which ones I want to blog, and I like them all. The first five are from Friday. Hannah was helping Jasmyn feed the cats.Nice profile.

The next photos are from Sunday at the park. We had really great weather. It was in the lower 60's. In the afternoon the clouds increased but the temp was still nice.

Update

Since Monday it has only been the girls and myself. Dolan has been away for work at some pest controller workshop. He should be home late tonight. Even though I am still busy with the kids and the house, I've still had plenty of time to miss Dolan. It is amazing how much you miss not only the person but the conversation as well...not saying that the kids aren't fun to talk to, but Hannah just repeats the same words and in the same sense, Jasmyn does as well. Since the concert all she talks about is the Jonas brothers. A little grown-up conversation is missed in this house recently. Well, I got out my camera today. Hannah was quite the little goof. I'm surprised that she was able to keep going after the lack of sleep last night. About every two hours Hannah woke up crying "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Bye-bye Daddy!" She would get herself so worked up that she couldn't fall back to sleep. Hopefully Dolan will make it home before bed time tonight.

A Sleepy Slumber

For Valentines day Dolan took me out to eat. We went early to beat the crowd and good thing we did. Taste of Texas was full of reservations and if we would have came in 10 minutes later we probably wouldn't have got a table. It was nice to go out with only Dolan and no kids.

Here is the only picture I took yesterday. Hannah had turned off her monitor in her room so I couldn't tell when she woke. After two hours of nap I took a chance and opened her bedroom door. This was the sight!

I FINALY DID IT!!!

I had two accomplishments last night!!! I finally was allowed to take Jasmyn's picture! Of course she had to make me promise to get her shirt in the picture as well. She purchased this shirt at the Jonas Brothers' concert Saturday night and completely loves it! The second is more remarkable than that even...I got Jasmyn to hum for me after piano lessons. Yes this is amazing! Jasmyn does not like singing and has never done so!!! Last night Mrs. Behrends even tried and she wouldn't...but on the way home Jasmyn wanted to turn on radio Disney to listen to the top three because she knew the Jonas brothers were going to be one of the top three... I had her hum for me in order to listen...it worked!!! She can carry a tune!

Just a weekly update

This week has been uneventful. We all had a stomach virus and all have recovered.

It started with Dolan, moved over to Hannah, onto me, finally it hit Jas.

Needless to say our house was not a pleasant house this week.

Hannah has discovered music recently. Besides dancing she enjoys trying to sing along with it.

She has a "Baby Genius" DVD of nursery rhymes that I finally put in for her.

You would swear that she actually has an attention span that lasts longer than 20 seconds!

She tries to do the clapping with it and all the other activities along with them.

Dolan and I jokingly tell each other that Hannah will have to spend time with the Behrends family. For those of you who do not know the Behrends family they are very musically inclined.

Mrs. Behrends is the music teacher at school and Mr. Behrends is the band teacher.

They also do the music at the church. Both sing and play instruments.

Dolan and I are not musically inclined...

Jasmyn can play piano and trombone (learning both), but to this day I have never heard her sing...

Funny story about that...

Mrs. Behrends also states that she also has not heard her sing either ans she is Jasmyn's music teacher!!!
