This and That...but mostly a visit...

This past week the weather has fluctuated from the upper 70's to the lower 20's for high temperatures. Like the weather, Smith Acres has been crazy. We had highs and lows, ups and downs. More ups then downs. Really, the only down that happened...Jasmyn. She fell down some cement stairs at school. Hit her head, neck, and back. Her neck is stiff but feeling alright. We have been busy. We had family come for a visit this weekend. None of these pictures are in order. Here is Hannah and Great Grandma Greenlee reading a book.
My Mom and Hannah.

Uncle Jack listening to Jasmyn's music and watching her play games on her ipod. Jasmyn enjoyed that very much!

Just a picture I snapped of Dolan.

Hannah "rocking out" with the guitar hero guitar.

This is Jasmyn in her purple room.

Hanging up her 'Twilight' calendar.

Hannah in a very rare still moment. This was between visits with the family.

Watching for the visitors to show up.

Hannah having a blast with her Great, Great Aunt Lila.

A picture of Jasmyn!!!!

Hannah being swung by her Great Uncle Jack.

Oh, My!!! Another picture of Jasmyn...with her smiling!!!

Hannah showing off.

Our visitors. From left to right:
Uncle Jack, Aunt Ila, Grandma Greenlee, and Great Aunt Lila.
It has been a year since we have seen any of our family. We had a wonderful visit! Only wish it could have been for longer.
They came out Friday early evening and stayed until today (Sunday). Hannah a year ago was so different then what she was this visit. Last year she was so shy that she wouldn't go to anybody. This visit, Hannah was so sociable, she had to grab each one by the hand and take them for a walk. Climbed up on laps and gave everybody a kiss!
Jasmyn is excited that her bedroom is done. She even purchased her bedspread and curtains herself.
Dolan and I completed diabetes class. We are now more informed on how to deal with and treat Dolan's diabetes. His blood sugar levels are staying under control and he is feeling great. He says that he wished he would have started insulin long ago. =)
I am staying busy with the kids.

It is...

'Tis the season...
For fence building and maintenance.
We started out the day of fencing by putting to work the toddler. Child labor laws do not apply on the farm. At least Hannah had the easy job. She started out on the tractor. She did a great job as long as we stayed out of her road.
Well, after some time of tractor work, she decided things were not moving fast enough for her. She picked up her hand tools and followed ol' Dad out to show him how to get the job done.

Hannah found out the hard way. She has soft hands and soft hands and hard work do not mix. Got the gloves!

Time for a break.

Back to work. This time a little more prepared.
...Hannah had a great time out in the pasture with us. We didn't get quite as much accomplished as we would have without her help, but she kept us entertained. She had to explore everywhere and everything!
Earlier in the week we made a trip to the park. This is our typical goofy Hannah.
Hannah out exploring beyond the park parameters. She LOVES to explore!

A few more pictures of Hannah only at a different park.

Pointing out the birds.
Hopefully, one day I will be able to get some pictures of Jasmyn.

More and more...

Seven years ago today, I married my best friend. Every day the love for you grows more and more. You are my rock, strength, tower, conqueror, and helper. What is like being married to someone who fills such a big role?
It is like having your cake...
And eating it too.

I thank the Lord for you everyday.
Happy Anniversary!
I love you !

Here are a few pictures taken Tuesday. The girls had to go get shots. I had Hannah ready and decided to take a few pictures...it had been quite a while since the camera was pulled out. Hannah was in a goofy mood. Hannah ended up lucking out and didn't get shots after all. There is a shortage of a certain vaccine so she is still behind on the one. Jasmyn was in an even sillier mood than her sister after we returned home. This is Jasmyn's idea of fun...playing with her sister's sunglasses.

An updated room...

Here are a few pictures of Hannah's updated room. The wall color is "Little Leaf" and the trim is "Sweetest Dreams". As much as I love the colors the pictures do not do them justice. Click on either one of the color names and it will direct you to the website for a better view. Then click on the "get details" arrow. Jasmyn even donated some of her "younger" items to help with the updating. In these photos the kitty pictures are from Jasmyn.
The detail work on the doors are not quite finished. The finishing touches should be done this weekend.

I painted these pictures for Hannah when I was still pregnant with her. I can't seem to put them away yet.

"HANNAH"
I painted those some time ago. They look good with the decals.
Hannah was happy to see her furniture go back into her room today. She was especially happy to see her toy-box and get into it. She has literally pulled all her toys out and played with ever single one. I guess she has missed them. All in all Hannah seems pretty darn happy today for numerous reasons...her room is once again hers, she found her missing toys, she is allowed back into her room, and she keeps saying her room is "pwiddy!". She also likes the kitty posters that Jasmyn donated. Hannah points to them and mews.
Next project...Jasmyn's room.
Bring on the purple!

Sneak Peek

Here is a small glimpse of whats to come.
