My Little Princess

Hannah had received this princess dress for Christmas. This is her first time wearing it and she absolutely loves it! The tiara was a birthday gift from her Father and I. Here she is in a few poses.

Out and About...

Winter weather? Nope. Not even close. Not unless you count upper 60's and lower 70's winter weather. Since the weather was so nice, I decided to take the girls out to the park. Jasmyn stayed home from school again. She has been cooped up and needed to get out. Besides, I think the fresh air did her some good. She still isn't 100% but she is closer.Hannah really enjoyed feeding the geese. She would get her own bread and break off pieces to feed the geese. She even listened and stayed out of the water this time. YAY!
Jasmyn got brave and started hand feeding some of the braver geese. Hannah had seen that and tried it as well. She didn't keep it up long, one of the geese scared her so back to throwing the bread.

Sick and Tired...

This is Sick...And this is Tired...
Jasmyn is now battling with her first bout of strep throat. Dolan's Mom was kind enough to watch Hannah while I took Jasmyn to the doctor. Since Jasmyn ended with strep Hannah just stayed the night with her Grandma. Jasmyn ended up getting a shot of Penicillin in the rear. She is still pale, weak, and not moving too much.

Hannah loved the weather today. She played outside, refused her nap, then fell asleep while waiting for supper.

So, my children are just sick and tired.

A Royal Breakfast...

On the third Saturday of the month, I wake up before the sun. I head out to start breakfast for anywhere between 12-30 guys. The breakfast is held for a men's group at our church. It is called...The Royal Order Of Red Suspenders. Dolan takes part in this. It is a really great ministry. The guys go out into the surrounding communities and help do tasks around the house for those who are no longer capable. For example, this year they have painted, helped move, cleaned lawns, etc. I try to keep breakfast simple, and for the most part the guys are easy to please. This past Saturday the fellas got sausage, eggs, toast, and fruit. This past Saturday was kind of a special meeting. The guys were to inspect and pray over a building.
I am usually there to fix breakfast by 6:00am. Sometimes earlier. Hannah shows up with Dolan at 8:00am. She helps with the clean-up. She likes to help with the dishes and wiping of the tables. She also receives a nice warm meal for her labor. Only two and already earning her keep. Here are some pictures from last Saturday.

Little Helper...

Hannah and I made cookies today. This was Hannah's first time of making cookies and she loved it! She was in charge of mixing and adding the ingredients. She did a wonderful job! She got messy as well. We were trying to make diabetic friendlier cookies for Dolan by using splenda and splenda brown sugar. The cookies turned out more like little mini cakes. And not cupcakes either. Just round little puffs of cookies.

Making things a little more even...

Anyone who knows Jasmyn, knows just how difficult it is to have her cooperate while a camera is in use. Because of that reason, I typically don't get many pictures of her and the blog is quite a little Hannah over load. So, since Jasmyn is in basketball, I get to freely take pictures of her. Of course they are all action shots and not great still portraits, they are at least pictures of Jasmyn.

This is one of the few pictures I could capture of Jasmyn with the ball. Immediately after this was snapped, She was surrounded by three opposing team members fighting her for the ball. Jasmyn held tight and did not let it go.

Jasmyn saw this picture and she said that I had to post it. "It's Awesome!" It was during warm-ups and I was trying to adjust my camera and find the right setting. It was of Jasmyn doing a lay-up. I think it just shows how badly my lens needs to be cleaned.

A lot of Play...

Sorry about all the posts. I finally had a free moment or two. Hannah is a very busy child. She goes from one activity to another. The past few days has been really great for Hannah! Saturday we had to go to Menards to get some parts to make repairs. While in North Platte, Hannah had a blast. She rode on the rides at the mall, she played on the playground equipment at Menards, then on the way home we stopped in Hershey and played at a park. Thursday...

Jasmyn had another basketball game Thursday. The teams first game since before Christmas break. Hannah had fell asleep on the way to the game. It was a home game against Chase County. Jasmyn (in white) is standing on the far side(#21). This was during a free throw. Her friend Cassidy made the shot!

This is Winter?

Last week was so nice with temperatures that were anywhere in the upper 40's to the mid 60's. It made way for lots of outdoor activities including a trip to the park.
