We have had a busy week! It started off with two new additions to our family. Introducing Sadie and Lola. They were adopted from the pound. They are 3 month old cocker spaniel/basset hound mixes.

Everyone loves them! They are full of energy and life!

Hannah has a big scratch on her forehead that she has to pick the scab off of. So it just keeps getting bigger. It will more then likely scar.

This weekend Dolan and I finally got busy on the lawn. We planted grass seed and covered it with straw. We had plenty of helpers as well. Hannah, Jasmyn, Sadie, and Lola all wanted to be involved "in" the project.

Hannah had her first organized performance Sunday morning during church services. The young children sang a song. Hannah stood up on stage like a big girl. She swung her arms back and forth the whole time! She even tried to sing towards the end! My "Baby Hannah" is growing up way too fast. This is just the first of many more to come! The encouraging yet scary thing is...she looked right at home on stage (scary part comes from her being a clown!). The song that they sang is playing on my play-list now. They did a wonderful job! Thank you Sara for giving of yourself to instruct and teach them! You do an AWESOME job! God gave you a wonderful gift and in turn the rest of us share that gift!

Apples II Apples & Sisterly Love...

Hannah had a follow up appointment Tuesday late morning. When we got there her temperature was still over 103. The doctor listened to how the extended weekend went and decided to run a few tests. Hannah had to have blood drawn, a nasal swabbing, throat swabbing, and give a urine sample. When the results came in we were all relieved. All labs came back negative. Negative for swine flu, influenza, mono, and strep. By the time the labs were done she had been on antibiotics for 5 days. Since then she is feeling much better.

I got this picture of Jasmyn by catching her walk in the room. She didn't even know the camera was even out. She is turning into a beautiful young woman.

Hannah must have got something right by the look on Jasmyn's face. It is really great when we have moments like this. The girls actually getting along and not yelling at each other!

Apples...

This week has been a rather slow week. Thursday Hannah went to the ER with an extremely high fever. When I took her temp it read 106.8. Way too high. Knowing she was terribly hot and hoping my thermometer was wrong, she was loaded up into the car and hauled to McCook. When we got there her temp was 105.5. They gave her a high dose of Motrin and Tylenol. By the time we left her temp was down to 102.6. They examined her and all they found was a sinus infection and a very red throat. They prescribed antibiotics and rest. Hannah ran a high fever for 3 days making it back up to the 105+ area but mostly in the 103 range. She also did not eat for those three days. She would take a bite and that would be all. She still isn't feeling too well, but is back to her active self. The fever is gone and she is eating lightly. We ventured outside today for a while. We are prepping the lawn for grass-seed. Hopefully it will planted. Hannah had fun but didn't want to spend too long outside.

After that she was ready to head back inside.

Small town football game...

It has been a while since my last post. Not much has been going on. School started the 18th. Jasmyn is now an 8th grader. She seems to be enjoying it so far. We are adjusting to the early morning routine again. The nights are cooling down. Temps are milder but the humidity is still high. Hannah has been growing. She finally moved into 3T pants. They fit length but are way too big around the waist. I even bought the slims with the adjustable waist and with them the smallest that they could go are a little big. Her hair is growing fast. I have heard people comment that she has adult hair and not baby hair. I am going to let it grow out this fall and winter. She still pulls out her hair ties after just a few minutes of having her hair up. Dolan is entering into the busy time with work. This year has been pretty bad with crickets. We had our first High School football game last night. Our boys won!!! I wish I could tell you the final score but the scoreboard was not working properly. Jasmyn took her usual place in the band and did a good job. We loaded Hannah up with her back-pack full of toys to the game. Saying good-bye to kitty Izzy.

We brought some bubbles to entertain Hannah. Deb was nice enough to blow them for her. Before long we had a whole group of kids joining in the fun. Hannah loved trying to catch them on her tongue! They went through the whole bottle of bubbles!

Creatures great and small...

This weekend we went to Denver for a B.C. Tour. We toured the Denver Museum of Natural History and also Dinosaur Ridge. Jasmyn had previous plans to go white water rafting and other various activities but she did join us for Casa Bonita. Here are the girls in front of the Casa Bonita fountain. Hannah had seen a bird in the window. Had to get as close as she could.

Hannah has recently become fearful. She has started showing signs of fear throughout certain activities and in movies. Fear reared its ugly head again at the museum.

When Hannah is fearful she plugs her ears. This is how she went through most of the museum. Poor girl!

Hannah and Joy. Joy is a favorite person of Hannah's. Joy runs the nursery at church and Hannah always has a great big hug waiting for Joy. Might also mention that this was in front of the T-Rex sculpture. Hannah wasn't too certain about it.
