June Snow...

Monday evening the ground at the church was covered in white. It looked as if it was snowing. The Cottonwood trees were in full effect! Hannah loved to play in it!

Hannah has also discovered the joy of basketball!
This basket was more for her height.
I had to include this picture. This is my first rose of the year! Now my rose bushes are just covered with blooms!

A Walk...

Tonight we had the most bright and beautiful rainbow on top of the hill. The pictures do not do it any justice!

Friday Hannah and I decided to walk to town. So we loaded up the wagon and took the back roads. The weather was perfect and Hannah loved it!
Here she is buckling herself up...all ready to go!
We saw some pretty wild flowers...some growing in the most odd places.
A bird enjoying the day as well.

It is amazing how much more you see when you are not stuck inside of a vehicle.

The Baby Pool...

We ventured out to the Palisade pool for the first time this season. The water was cool but none of the kids seemed to mind. Jasmyn took her friends Cassidy and Chase with her to swim in the main pool and I stayed with Hannah in the baby pool.

Getting used to the water.

Jasmyn not-so happy that I was taking pictures.

Playing with the diving sticks.

In the middle of "keep away."

Trying out the new water slide.

Enjoying the baby pool. Thought I had only one...guess I was wrong.

The lazy days of Summer...

Quality sister time happening! Jasmyn had fallen asleep after lunch and Hannah decided she wanted the same. She climbed up and wiggled herself between Jasmyn and the sofa and fell asleep. Evidently I worked Jasmyn too hard!

A day for Hannah...

Hannah had an audio test done Wednesday in Hastings. We loaded up the car and headed out early...before the sun was even up. The test was quick and all is well with her hearing. The next step in line is a speech pathologist. We then headed north to Grand Island. We stopped at the Stuhr Museum. What an enjoyable time! Hannah rode around in a wagon that we rented...whole time...no complaining, screaming, squirming, or trying to get out! That was a first!
Here is Hannah in the wagon looking at the museum building.
We then walked the grounds and saw some of the most amazing sights. There were lots of ducks and geese that loved people and to be fed.

Railroad town was interesting. All the people there were even dressed in late 1800's garb.

We ate lunch at the "Silver Dollar". Hannah playing while waiting patiently for her meal.

We then headed to Kearney. They have the BEST playground for children there. If I would have been thinking better I would have packed her swimsuit. She did not want to run in the water with her clothes on.
Wanting...

I changed her into a different outfit and coaxed her to run through...after the initial wetting of the clothes she was as happy as could be.

Not Much...

Really nothing exciting going on. I only pulled out my camera today.
Jasmyn has been going to the doctor and is doing so much better!!!! She is retaining strength and control of her left side. We are also weening her off of her anticonvulsant meds.
Hannah has been loving the warm weather. If allowed she would spend all day outside! She recently got a T-ball set and is ready to try it out...if not for this wind.
Mowing consumes a pretty big part of my time as well as taking kids here and there. I have been working on a bird garden for some time. For mothers day Jasmyn painted one of my bird houses for me. It is really bright and cute. I have also made my own birdbath as well as painted a few birdhouses myself.
Dolan is working steady. His days are ending later and starting earlier. He is getting his garden started. He really loves to garden! His spare time is spent out there.
Funny story...Sunday evening Dolan was in the garden, I was mowing. Jasmyn was gone to the movies with a friend and Hannah was "helping" Dad garden...for a while. She went to the house after a bit, and came out naked! Took her in to put on clothes and she absolutely refused! She wanted to be all natural while enjoying the nature.
That is about it...

Concert. Spring 2009

Difference that comes with age...It has been quite the change watching Jasmyn with schooling and school activities this year. She is no longer doing cute little performances about fictional characters, but performances that have taken a lot of practice with more seriousness. Last nights spring concert was the shortest one that we have attended. They were not lacking anything, just the pieces that they performed took more practice time. They did an excellent job as well. The pieces played were very difficult yet they went at it and it sounded great! They also sang a song. This was the first time during a school choir song that I have heard the boys louder then the girls. I think we have a few girls who are shy about singing. I know Jasmyn is.Getting ready to play

Hannah had a great time as well.
Jasmyn...growing up more and more. Having a child this old should make me feel old...but nah. It doesn't. I feel old because I am old. My kids keep me young.
