Basket and T ~ Snow and Sun

The month of February flew right by.
Here are a few pics and stories.
This is Jasmyn at their last basketball tournament in Cambridge. By brother, his wife, and daughter were able to come up and watch. It was great having them here!
The girls ended up taking first place.

This is after receiving their medals. They were so happy and worked so hard!

The next morning...
And this is Ava.

This is Ava happy.

This is "Bed-head Hanny!"

Jasmyn, reading first thing in the morning.

Ava and her Daddy.

We had a really nice snow storm the night of the basketball game.
We ended up with over 3 inches of snow. The girls loved it!

Hannah loves eating the snow!

We took the girls on a little sledding adventure. The dogs enjoyed it as well. They chased after the sled.

Hannah driving the 4-wheeler pulling Jasmyn.

The next week all the snow melted. The weather warmed up

so outside we went!

Lets go fly a kite.

And, of course, see the horses.

And try to play some T-ball.

I guess it is time for a new post. I have been very bad at updating! Sorry to those who look forward to the posts. Life has been quite full lately. Dolan went to Lincoln, NE for pest control school. He was there 3 days. Hannah received another hair cut ~ She had found a pair of scissors in Dolan's office and snipped a little off. It took a few days to find where she had clipped. She didn't snip her bangs. As I was pulling her hair up into a pony tail a piece from the upper center was shorter than the rest. So I went ahead and tried to even it up.
Jasmyn has been staying busy with school and basketball. They have one final game left the 20th of February. She is still receiving great grades in school.
I am heading back to college...for cake decorating classes. A friend approached me and wanted to know if I would be interested in going with her. Dolan and I decided that it would be a good thing for me to get out. I am looking forward to this and who knows... I just may continue on.
Here are some pictures from the past month. Jasmyn in action.
Shooting.

Enjoying the game.

Hannah enjoys watching her sister play as well!

The team! They took second place at the tournament.

This is what I discovered as we were getting ready to take Hannah to her Grandma Shizuko's.
"Pretty!" was all she had to say as I walked in on her putting on her sister's make-up. Hannah thought she had to get ready as well.

All pretty and ready to go!

More basketball fun.

I just LOVE this picture!!!

Jasmyn and Cassidy after the game. They were tired but still cooperated with having their picture taken.

Today was such a lovely day! Had to head to McCook to get some groceries (and Valentines) and decided to take Hannah to the park. She couldn't get enough! She ran from one piece of equipment to the next!

Dolan joined us at the park when he got off work. We had such a fun time!

And, of course, to finish out a hard day's play at the park, you just got to have a big ice cream cone!

It is 2010 already!!!
Where, oh where, has the time gone?
We've played a few basketball games and had our "Winter" concert. The concert was supposed to be for Christmas but with weather not cooperating we had to have it January 12. It was really nice. Jasmyn's class only does band so here is a few pictures of them.

That is Jasmyn on the trombone. Used to be you never saw a female playing the trombone, but since Jasmyn has played I notice more and more females playing.
The band sounded awesome! Jasmyn really enjoys band.
This is one of the pictures of Hannah during the Winter program. There are more to come but are out of order. She had such a fun time! Hear she is clapping for one of the performances.

Jasmyn and basketball. Dolan and I have just had the best time going to her games and watching her play.

I really like this picture. I find it funny. Jasmyn, Nicole, and Leiauna (lay-on-ah), are all blocking one of the opponents smallest players and Jasmyn's reach just looks incredible!

Passing the ball.
Jasmyn shooting the ball. Her feet are still on the ground and i looks as if she is towering over everyone. Quick little story~Jasmyn really wanted to get tickets to a concert. She had begged and pleaded. She even tried to bribe. She finally came up with a deal that her father went along with...If she made 6 points in the next game we would get her tickets and take her to the concert...this is the bad part of the story...Us (Dolan and I) not thinking she could make six points in one game (not because we don't believe in our daughter, but because she really isn't athletically gifted and still has hyperprolinemia and myoclonic dystonia syndrome which causes her muscles to "jerk" without her controlling them), we agreed. Well, she proved us wrong. She was so nervous, she was trying so hard! But she didn't give up! She kept right in there, if she missed she went right for it again. I had never seen her play so well!!! (Now if I could just encourage her enough to play like that every game without it causing us to go into bankruptcy) Now we were in a bind...the concert is on a school night, about 4 hours away from where we live. We got the tickets and it turns out Dolan wants to go with her. So they will be going to a concert next week!

This is Hannah wore out from dancing the winter program through.

Enjoying the show with Dad!

Dancing with another girl at the program. It was so cute to watch!

Watching like a good little girl (or maybe praying for the night not to end).

Christmas

We had a very busy week leading up to Christmas. Jasmyn started basketball, Sunday school Christmas programs, more basketball, and shopping. Jasmyn in the junior high Sunday school program was a barista. She had a few lines and got to pour "coffee" and give pastries to the customers.
Hannah was a little lamb. How appropriate considering her name Hannah Rae translates, Gracious Lamb.

Both girls were happy with their gifts! When Hannah woke Christmas morn' she didn't even come wake us up. She ran out of her room, saw the gifts, then went and woke Jasmyn.
Hannah and Kyle at one of 5 basketball games the week before Christmas.
Jasmyn ready to make her shot.
Hannah on the way to a basketball game.
This is Hannah in all her lively-hood the morning after Christmas. Hope you enjoy it as both Dolan and I do.

A roll in the hay...

Thanksgiving day was absolutely beautiful! The weather gorgeous!! Hannah decided it was perfect for rolling around in the hay and taking her afternoon nap in the hay.

A climb on the hay was also necessary.
Later we decorated the tree.

Hannah went to story hour at the Palisade library for her very first time yesterday. She loved it and exceeded my expectations on her behavior.
Listening to Miss Jenn read the stories.
After the stories were over the children colored Christmas pictures.
